Our company history
1928
Jakob Rahm-Huber establishes an agricultural and wine-growing farm together with his wife Margrit. Over the course of time, the couple?s eight sons and daughters increasingly help them to run the business. For the first time, the family also employs new technical and later on, also ecological cultivation methods.
1945
Foundation of the Jakob Rahm-Huber winery. For the first time, 3,000 liters of grape juice are produced. In the following years, the daughters undergo business training and the sons, Emil and Robert, train both commercially and with regard to wine-making - and commit to running the family business.
1954
Launch of the first sparkling noble grape juice branded Rimuss (Riesling-Silvaner mousseux - sparkling Muller-Thurgau).
1959
Bottling of the first wines of the brand Hallauer Graf von Spiegelberg.
1969
Following the demise of Jakob Rahm, acquisition of the sole proprietorship by the sons Emil and Robert Rahm.
1970
Launch of the slightly sparkling wine Lambrusco from Italy; exclusive distribution of the Riunite brand in Switzerland.
1972-1974
Adding of Zurich and Grison wines to the existing range of company products.
1990
Introduction of Pesca-Frizz wine cooler; launch of the new FRIZZ product range.
1995
Company anniversary: 50 years Rimuss Weinkellerei Rahm.
2003
Introduction of the Hallauer premium range Réserve du Patron (Hallauer Spätlese, Hallauer Barrique, Hallauer Blanc de Noir).
2004
Changing of the companys legal form into Rimuss and Weinkellerei Rahm AG. Formation of executive management and a board of directors. Launch of the non-alcoholic Litchi-Perl medium-dry.
2005
Expansion of the Frizz range of products with Litchi-Frizz.
2006
The third generation of the family assumes company management (Peter Rahm). Launch of the Globi-Schampus and the red cuvee, DORENOIR Composition Hallau AOC.
2007
Launch of the Xprützte Wiisse and the white cuvee TROISBLANC Composition Hallau AOC, and the Zurich premium wines, Zürcher Spätlese and Zürcher DiaNoir. Relaunch of the sparkling wine Charmant as «brut».
2008
The Sauvignon Blanc Hallau AOC completes the Réserve du Patron range; the Strohwein Trasadingen AOC rounds up the varied assortment.
A gold medal at the Mondial du Pinot Noir for the Hallauer Barrique 2006 Réserve du Patron. Gold medal and Swiss Masters' Title at the Grand Prix du Vin Suisse for the Hallauer AOC, Graf von Spiegelberg, Riesling-Silvaner.
2009
IFS certification (International Food Standard).
Expansion of the Frizz range.
